Crafted from our durable 5/8" BioThane and outfitted with a pair of snap connectors, our Safety Straps serve as a supplementary point of attachment in case of equipment malfunction. Available in three lengths: 10", 12", and 14", measured from one carabiner's end to the other. The Safety Strap can connect a collar to a harness or a leash to a collar if the leash is fastened to your dog's harness. For the latter configuration, ensure that the safety strap at the leash end is affixed to the fixed eye opening at the bottom of your leash snap. Sizing: To determine the appropriate size, measure either from your dog's collar D-ring to the harness clip, or from the collar D-ring to the eye opening of your dog's leash snap (the base of the snap where the leash feeds through, situated below the swivel) while it's connected to the harness (based on your intended use). Make sure to include several inches of slack to enable your dog to move comfortably while the strap is in use. If uncertain, opt for a larger size to accommodate movement.

Please note that unless otherwise instructed, all orders which select a Locking Carabiner for their snap will be made with BLACK hardware for the screws, D-rings, etc. If you would prefer a different hardware finish for your screws and D-rings on a leash with a locking carabiner, you may leave an Order Note at checkout. Regardless of notes, all carabiners will still have a black finish as pictured in the product listing.
